Kybella
Kybella Treatments
Kybella, or Deoxycholic Acid, is an injectable treatment that can remove excess fatty tissue that may accumulate as part of the aging process. This acid is naturally found in the body and is responsible for breaking down and absorbing dietary fat. One of the most common sites for its use is under the chin to non-surgically treat the dreaded “double chin.”

Why Choose Us
The injectors at Arria have an intimate knowledge of the underlying structures and have safely and effectively used this on countless patients over the years with phenomenal results. In addition, the ability to tailor the treatment to your specific facial structure means we can give you the best possible results based on your concerns.
Some patients with excess fatty tissue may be a better candidate for other nonsurgical fat reduction modalities, such as CoolSculpting or surgical interventions such as liposuction or abdominoplasty. In these cases, our injectors will refer you to one of the Board Certified Plastic Surgeons at our parent company, The Plastic Surgery Group of NJ, for a consultation.

Kybella FAQ's
Swelling and tenderness are the most common side effects of the treatment. Some patients also experience bruising, pain, numbness and redness. While swelling generally decreases after about a week, some patients can experience side effects for a few weeks. The more of an inflammatory response the body has to this treatment, the better the results will be, as it will create more collagen and tighten the skin in the area being treated.
This depends on the person's anatomy and the area being treated, but generally, 2-6 treatments are required for optimal results. People usually experience the most side effects after the first treatment and fewer side effects during subsequent treatments.
Fat reduction from this treatment is permanent. Once we treat to completion, you should no longer have excess fatty tissue in the area treated.
